Show u Desert Range CCC A bit of news is like an old wine, filled with vin and vigor. This time it is news from the Desert. Four years ago President Roosevelt Roose-velt brought forth on this continent conti-nent a new movement, baptized in national need and dedicated to the youth of America the Civilian Conservation Corps. April 4, 1937 marks this fourth anniversary of the 'birth of the CCC and, as a further dedication to the great foresight and staunch leadership of the president and his aides, fitting celebrations are being be-ing enacted within and of the CCC camps throughout the nation as a mark of esteem from the men who make up the rank and file of the C's. The commanding officer of company com-pany 4763 and the forestry personnel per-sonnel connected with that company, com-pany, stationed at Desert Range station and designated as camp F-33, extend to the public a hearty welcome to visit the camp on Sunday, Sun-day, April 4, to be entertained there and shown some of the more hidden talent we possess as well as the results of the work being-undertaken being-undertaken here. |
