Show Students Take Places . In Speech Contests Wilma English and lone Sedge-wick, Sedge-wick, both of Milford, were awarded award-ed first and second places in the high school district orations contest con-test work at Cedar City last Saturday, Sat-urday, these being in the girls' division, di-vision, while James Angell took second place in the boys' orations. Nine members of the Milford high school debating class also participated par-ticipated but did not place. Local debaters, coached by Principal E. It'. Moody, had practised one system sys-tem of Bebating, preparatory to entering the B. Y. U. invitational contests at Provo and the state finals in Salt Lake, only to have an entirely different system used at Cedar City, placing the local youngsters at a great disadvantage. |
