Show LEGION URGES "SIX HOURS; FIVE DAYS" Industry and business in Salt Lake and throughout Utah generally was urged to institute a program using the six-hour day and five-day week, with proportionate pay, in a concerted concert-ed offensive against depression and unemployment launched February 13 at a meeting of the chamber of commerce com-merce in Salt Lake. The announcement was made by officials of the American Legion upon up-on the arrival in Salt Lake of J. C. Keene of Xew York, representing the Legion's national unemployment committee and Henry L. Stevens, Jr., national commander. |
