Show j Christ Jesus Mission j Proclaimed By Church Here The remarkable degress of love expressed ex-pressed for mankind by the great Exemplar touches the heart of every Christian. It naturally follows then that interest aroused in the Christian Chris-tian Science) Lesson-Sermon Sunday, February 28 under the caption, "Christ Jesus" will lead -to spiritual unfoldment for all earnest seekers of truth. By turning to the passage from the Bible whioh. comprised the Golcn Text of this Lesson-Sermon, (John 3:17) we find that "God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Verse 2 of chapter 9 of Isaiah also included in this Lesson-Sermon and which reads, "The people that walked walk-ed in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the ljght shined," offers much food for thought; and, to acquire a better understanding of the words "Jesus" and "Christ" one needs only to ponder pond-er the definitions found on pages 583 and 589 of the Christian Science textbook which follow: "Christ, The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate incar-nate error. Jesus, The highest hu-an hu-an corporeal concept of the divine idea, rebuking and destroying error and bringing to light man's immorality." |
