Ore from the Moscow Silver Mines company property in the Star district, dis-trict, Beaver county, Utah, 9 miles from Milford, is arriving on the Salt Lake market at its usual rate. ' Two carloads reached the smelters smelt-ers during the early part of the week, one on March .3 and the other March 4. The first, according to umpire assays as-says received by Manager Garratt S. Wilkin, carried 10 or. of silver to the ton, 2Q per cent .lead and 24 per cent iron. The second, 11.6 ounces of silver to the ton, . 27 . per. cent lead and 28 per cent iron. Both carloads of carbonate ore came from the drift off the winze on the 1,565 ft. level. . On the 1608 ft. level, the company is driving west to reach the ore bearing silver, bed on the contact of the- blue and white limestone. No attempt has', been made to reach, the. downward continuation continu-ation of the shoots being mined on the 1565 since Manager Wilkin wants to reach the main Ore bearing horizon hori-zon before starting any exploration on the 1600. On the 900, the company is drifting drift-ing south. The drift has already passed into the white limestone that forms the hanging wall of the silver bed.
