Our libel laws, and the dread of running afoul to them, have made far more accurate newspapers and cleaner ones. The kind of a paper that is worth while is the one that can go into homes and be read by all members of the family. Sheer scandal, written as news, and slyly embellished by editorial opinion, is an earmark of t he "yellow." |
