OCR Text	Show Savin; Famous Woodlands The states of. New York and Massachusetts Massa-chusetts have joined hands in the effort ef-fort to head off forest fires. The conditions con-ditions this year led observers to believe be-lieve that there would be unusually early outbreaks In the woods, and In order to combat these the usual force of wardens has been augmented by the appointment of 1,800 others. The Catskills and the Adirondacks and other wooded sections of those states have been and are being given full protection against the 'fire menace.
