The citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon included the following follow-ing from the Bible: "Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled de-filed by them: I am the Lord your God." (Lev. 19; 31). The folowing correlative passage was also included from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy: "As named in Christian Science, animal magnetism or hypnotism hyp-notism is the specific term for error, or mortal mind. It is the false belief be-lief that mind is in mater, and is both evil and good; that evil is as real as good and more powerful. This belief has not one quality of truth." (P-103). |
