Show Victory Clothing Drive Ends; Free Show for Donors Saturday afternoon, Feb. 2, at the Crest Theater, admission to the matinee will be free to anyone bringing a contribution of cioth-ing cioth-ing to the Victory Clothing Campaign. Cam-paign. The Saturday matinee will be mainly patronized by children, and if all of them who can will bring a garment, something they have outgrown, something they can spare, their contributions will swell most materially the shipment ship-ment being prepared on the west Millard collection. The drive on the Victory Clothing Cloth-ing collection will close after Saturday, Sat-urday, so send your bundle with the child to the matinee, or bring it in yourself. Any article of clothing, shoes or bedding, they all help in our national drive of helping help-ing to clothe the sufferers and the needy in countries left destitute from war. The collection here has been well responded to, according to Golden H. Black, chairman. Bundles Bun-dles are still being left at the City Library, and up to date 39 boxes are packed for shipping, and the two largest ones weigh over 200 lbs each. Tuesday, Jan. 31, was the original orig-inal closing date. However, the time has been extended here over Friday and Saturday, Feb. 1 and 2, giving the public two more days to bring bundles to the City Libra-ary. |
