Brush of the South Tract have visiting with them this week, their son Ted and two children, chil-dren, Mrs. Glen Brush and Mrs. Er-ma Er-ma Schultz, all from California. Mrs. Margaret C. Callister went to Orem last week to be gone for some indefinite time, to help Mrs. Blaine Keeler who had recently undergone un-dergone an operation. Anthony Callister sent some souvenirs sou-venirs from England which are interesting. in-teresting. Among them is a short sword, a "Kreim Kempen Hundert Millionen Marks" a gold bracelet with stone sets on it, and some exquisite ex-quisite needlework, which appears to be hand embroidered ornaments for ladies' dresses. It is quite an nteresting collection. The Seven Sewettes met at the home of Ora Mae Bishop on June 13th, and on the 20th at the home of Jonel Henderson, and on June 25th at the home of Norene Clothier. Cloth-ier. The girls are working on their children articles.Their leader, Dawn Hilton, has been giving them lessons les-sons on bound buttonholes and perfect stitch. Miss Gloria Olsen returned to Cedar City Sunday after spending a week in Delta at the F. S. Beck-with Beck-with home. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. CooR and daughter Jessie Lynn, and Charles Holmes, all from Hawthorne, Nev., arrived in Delta Monday to visit the Beckwiths. Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen, of Oasis have their two married daughters home for a lengthy visit. They are Mrs. John C. Carmen and son and daughter, and Mrs. A. H. Sundquist. and daughter. Mrs. Carmen Car-men will remain the summer, and Mrs. Sundquist for about thirty days. Donna McCullough is home for a visit with her parents, M-S Clark McCullough. She is working at Hill Field. Her father, Clark, has been very ill for the past week, but is improving at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby, Mrs. Josephine Walker and Mrs' Ruth Masck went to Beaver Tuesday night where Orran participated in judging the Beaver County queen of their bond drive. M-S W. J. Henderson and two of their grandchildren from Panguitch spent Tuesday in Delta with their son, Warren Henderson and family. M-S John Cooper have bought Shady's Cafe in Fillmore and will move there to operate it within a short time. They will sell their home here. Mrs. Dean Reeves and her three daughters from California are visiting visit-ing in Delta with her mother, Mrs. Bessie B. Law. Mrs. Joe Borchert and Mrs. Bus Brackett spent the first part of the week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. James Birrell and two boys of Grand Junction, spent the weekend week-end in Delta visiting at the F. S. Beckwith home. Jack Killpack arrived in Delta on last Wednesday for a visit of about ten days with his brothers and their families. M-S C. M. Pace, M-S Scott Ches-ley, Ches-ley, M-S Dale Pearson, M-S Heber Curtis and M-S Lee Callister left Delta Wednesday morning for Salt Lake City to spend two days. Mrs. Taylor Riding returned to Delta Friday from a visit in San Diego with her children there. M-S M-S Monroe Corbett, who have been here several months, returned here with her. |
