M-S Jerome Iyie and Harold and '.Mrs. Neva Harvey went to Scipio , to attend the funeral of Jerme's brother, Thomas Ivie who died in the Delta hospital. Connie Johnson is spending her vacation in Los Angeles visiting with her aunts Mrs. Hazel Williams and Mrs. Li'fie Johnson. Miss Darlene Cox of Beaver is spending a few days visiting with Miss Janeane Simpson. Miss Gladys Banks and mother Mrs. Alma Banks are spending a few days isiting with M-S A. T. Miller o'r Milford. Mrs. Del.ong Banks and son Johnnie John-nie were Salt Lake visitors Tuesday at the home of M-S Herbert Abe-glim Abe-glim M-S Frank Godfrey and son Fran-kip Fran-kip spent Saturday and Sunday visiting vis-iting M-S Wallace Allen. They also al-so attended the wedding dance of Blaine Coleman at Oak City. Mrs. Wm. Coleman met with an an accident at home and has been suffering with two broken ribs. Mrs. Wells Nielson of Leamington Leaming-ton visited with her daughter Mrs. Sidney Searl Saturday. Lynnrlyl was in a state of excitement excite-ment Monday afternoon when a large barn owned by Earl Johnson was burned to the ground. It was feared that it would take the post-office post-office and show house, but the wind changed and the fire was put out. Orlean Overson returned home on Thursday after being in the Delta hospital for several weeks. Mrs. Mary Smith and daughters Annette and Margie spent a week in Salt Lake visiting her children, Mrs. Joe Easterbrook, Reed Clark and M-S Durmond Clark. M-S Don Larson returned to Scipio Scip-io Saturday after having spent a few weeks visiting with M-S Jim Smith. M-S Smith went with them, returning Sunday. M-S Sherman Cooper and family are spending a few weeks in Meadow Mead-ow after having spent a few days in Salt Lake visiting their daughter Zola. M-S Mc Bride and family were NeplK visitors Thursday. M-S Ian McKellar and boys from Magna are visiting with M-S John Talbot. Miss Clorene Johnson has gone to Ogden where she is employed by the government. -Scott Ivie has just recovered from a tonsil operation. M-S Ray Mills spent Sunday in Milford. M-S Roy Clark had at their home this week, Floyd Clark, Sam Dar-rell, Dar-rell, San Fernando, CaL, Ila Mc Grath, and son, Calvin, of Richmond, Rich-mond, CaL, Mary Coan and daughter daugh-ter Judy from Salt Lake visiting them. Mrs. Josephine Sudbury of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting her daughters Ruth and Claree. Mrs. Hilda Clark is leaving for Baltimore to visit for a month with her son Eldin Clark, who is in the Merchant Marines. Mrs. Eddie Sorenson arrived, late Tuesday night. She has been to Boise, Idaho. Her sister and brother broth-er in law came with them. Thpy are on their way to Arizona. Cpl Smith and Mrs. Ella Smith and baby are at the sorenson home on a short visit. Miss Frances Allen entertained the 4-H club of which she is teacher. teach-er. A lunch of ice cream and cookies cook-ies was enjoyed by Vada Ivie, Lee Rae Greathouse, Crestil Nielson & Bonnie Howard. Blain Coleman, son of M-S Wm. Coleman, who has just had an honorable hon-orable discharge from the Army, and Catherine Anderson of Oak City were married Wednesday.June 20 in the Manti Temle. A wedding dance was given in Oak City Friday Fri-day and those who attended from here were M-S Wallace Allen, M'S Myron Vest, M-S Ray Nielson, M-S Roy Clark, Ila Christensen, M-S Wm. Coleman, and El Donna. |
