Show Want Books for Russians Russian war Rilicf, Incorporated with state headquarters at 153 E. 2nd South Street m Salt Lake City, is helping our Russian Allies with the rehabilitation of their devastcd country. Last reports indicated that there were li5 million Russian people peo-ple left without food, clothing, or shelter. This is staggering, when one realizes this is four hundred times the population of Salt Lake City alone. Russian Relief and Rehabilitation Rehabilita-tion is helping to alleviate some of this suffering by sending new and used clothing, shoes, food and medical med-ical equipment. There are sewing and knitting projects and interested interest-ed organizations or individuals should contact state headquarteis. Mr. Arthur Gaeth. state chairman chair-man of Russian Relief for Utah, has advised that a request has come from the people of Russia to the people of the t-nueu asking aid in rebuilding 100 of the bombed and wrecked libraries by supplying them with English Language Lan-guage books. There is a waiting list of six to eight months for these books and America should respond whole heartedly to this appeal. The books that are wanted are the English Language Classics and the children's classics. Anye one interested in-terested in this project should also contact or mail their books to: Russian War Relief, 153 East 2nd South Street, Salt Lake C;ty, 1, Utah. This project will help build a better understanding and bring our American ways closer to our Russian friends. |
