Show Mrs. V. II. Pace came to Delta this week, having been called to Cedar City by the death of her brother Richard Middleton, and then came on to Delta. She will remain but a few days. The warmest day of last week was the 13th, with a temperature of 9,8. That night it. dropped to 43, which also was the lowest drop of the week. That is, the hottest day followed by the coolest night. This official record confutes the rumors ru-mors of last week that it dropped to only four above freezing. Mrs. Lucille Lippart from Salt Lake City spent the first of the week at the home of M-S Frank S. Beckwith. Mrs. Leone L. Daly who has been visiting her" daughter, Mrs. Bert Sorenson, left Saturday for Pan'g-uitch, Pan'g-uitch, where she will visit a few days before returning to her home in Provo. Mrs. David Jacobs and son, David and daughter, Carol, from Torrance California, are visting in Delta. Mrs. Elmer McClellan and children child-ren from Salt Lake City, are visiting vis-iting in Delta at the home of her mother, Sepha Robison. Mrs Sepha Robison is visiting in Caliente with her daughter, Mrs. . Leila Roddabaugh. ! Mrs. Dean Allred spent the week ' end at the home of Mrs. Lulu All-i All-i red. Mrs. Alice Jones of Salt Lake is visiting with M-S John Garcher. Mrs. Mabel King and her riau"-h-ter Patricia returned on Monday from California. ; M-S Stanley Stewart spent the weekend in Salt Lake City where Stan had a cyst removed from his eye. Tom Lambson went to Albuquer-; Albuquer-; que, New Mexico, Saturday morning. morn-ing. He plans on attending school there this winter. Emmer Largent went to the Veterans Ve-terans Hospital in Salt Lake City last Thursday for medical treatment. treat-ment. Evelyn Cropper entertained club at her place Thursday evening. Everyone brought either a bag of homemade candy, or homemade buttered popcorn. Those who were there and wished they hadn't eaten eat-en so much were: Evelyn Cropper, Donna Sagers, Verle Damron, Bessie Bes-sie Webb, Lorayne Van, Marie Lake, Enid Hopkins, and Luella Western. Verle Damron won high score, Donna Sagers won second and Marie Lake won low score. Mrs. Eloise Chambers arrived on Thursday from Bakersfield, California, Calif-ornia, to visit with her parents, M-S W. L. Law. Her husband was the lucky winner of a 10-day cross country flight given at a war bond dance at Minter Field, where he was stationed. Mrs. Chambers will remain here until he returns from his trip. Mrs. Jav Christensen and children child-ren from Milford, Mrs. C. W. Cheel from Las Vegas, Mrs. Wayne Slaughter and daughter, Carol, of Salt Lake City, and Dr. and Mrs. Fred Tuttle from Manti spent a nice afternoon Sunday in Oak City Canyon with the Colby families.
