Show Deer Season Regulations Are Released by State Doe Permit Sales Offices Listed: Special Hunts With a recent announcement but few choice domestic meats will be available for civilian conusmp-tion conusmp-tion during early winter, attention atten-tion will again be focussed on wild game and ration-free meat. The action of the Board of Big Game Control in its recent meeting meet-ing will permit replenishing the waning supply in the family cold storage box and give variety to those who find it difficult to stretch their red points to permit purchase of rationed meals. In addition to the regular harvest har-vest of buck deer, permits will be available for female deer and elk under special permit systems. Some of the antlerless deer permits per-mits will be valid during the regular reg-ular open deer season October 21 to 31, while post or extended seasons sea-sons apply to other areas. Director Ross Leonard, Utah Fish and Game Commission, stated that permits will be sold by two methods; meth-ods; i.e. open sale, or "first come, first served," and by lottery, where application will be received for a ten-day period, August 28 to September Sep-tember 6, after which a drawing will be conducted September 9, at 9:00 a.m., at the courthouse where applications are received to determine deter-mine whom permits will be issued. Permits for "regular season open sale areas" will be available beginning be-ginning October 2. Applications will be received at the county seat in the area affected affect-ed by the doe hunt and should be addressed to the " Fish and Game Department, Permit Sales Office." Open sale areas, regular and extended ex-tended seasons close to. Delta are: Beaver, 1,250 permits, "October 21 to Nov. 4, apply at Beaver; Fillmore, Fill-more, 1.200 permits, October 21 to Nevember 4, apply at Fillmore; Clear Creek, 1,500 permits, October 21 to November 4, apply at Beaver, Fillmore or Richfield; Kanosh, 2, 000 permits, October 21 to November Novem-ber apply at Richfield or Fillmore. Fill-more. The Oak City district has been designated for a post-season hunt with the season to be announced later. Three hundred doe permits will be sold in Fillmore for this area. Further studies are being made on the Dixie, Manila, and Grants-ville Grants-ville units to determine whether or not necessary reductions in deer will include females. If so, these will be announced later. A prerequisite in making application appli-cation for a "doe" perimt is the purchase of a buck hunting license, li-cense, the number of which must be submitted at the time of application. ap-plication. The purpose of receiving applications appli-cations for drawing areas as early as August 28, is to permit return of permit or advice of failure to secure one early enough to allow the hunter time to readjust his hunting trip.
