Noble Anderson, candidate for County Commissioner, 4 year term, is a native of Fillmore. lie is well and favorably known throughuol eastern Millard, and has a large number of friends in the western part of the County. Married to Laura Rogers of Kanosh, they have one daughter. Forty-three years of age, he was schooled locally and at the University Uni-versity of Utah. A printer by trade he has assisted for over twenty years in the publication of the Progress Pro-gress at Fillmore. He served eight years on Fillmore City Council during dur-ing which time many city improvements improve-ments were made. To mention a few the present city water system; syst-em; the curb and gutter, and the white-way lighting system on the main street, one sidewalk paving district; and the masonry lined ir- j rigation ditch leading to the city out of the canyon. Much of this improvement was done on a "pay as you go" basis. Mr. Anderson is a farmer, owning own-ing both an irrigated farm and dry farm, modern equipment and livestock. live-stock. He is a member of Millard County Farm Bureau and a board member and secretary of the Chalk Creek Irrigation Company. He believes Millard County is still far from fully developed, and will dedicate his efforts to making it a better place to live; and developing de-veloping its opportunitiees, especially especi-ally for our ex-servicemen. Morris, candidate for two year commissioner, prominent business leader Sz farmer is a res-dent res-dent of Hinckley. All of his life. Mr. Morris has been active in civic and church development. Left with out a mother when nine days old and in face of hardships and adversity ad-versity he has proved himself a leader. Mr. Morris is married to Belva Western and is the father of five children. The oldest son has been in the service for two years. Mr. Morris has served two terms as Mayor of Hincklev, was bishop of the 'ward from 1933 to 1942. He has acted as deputy assessor and was for four years a member of the County Farm Bureau. He is at present a member of the County Welfare Board and believes that "Financial assistance to the elderly elder-ly people is socially and morally right." He favors a post-war program pro-gram developed to take care of returning service men. He will work for a cooperative attitude of all departments of government to the program. |
