The shelf shown here is built wet above the radiator and curving up under the shelf is a metal hea' reflector which also covers the wall back of the radiator. The front and end of the shelf are trimmed with cut-out wooden seal lops repeating the curves of those used for the cornice shelf above the curtains. There is a trick about the cor nice too. It fits over the top o the window frame but is consider ably wider to allow the over draperies to hang straight at thi sides of the radiator which is th( width of the window. The sketct at the left shows how nails hole the box-like cornice in place anc how the draperies are held insidi with cup hooks. . . . NOTE The attractive chair beside th radiator shelf is made with pattern Nc 265. Scallop pattern No, 207 illustrate the steps in making cornices and als gives actual size pattern for scallops fo cornice and edging of the shelf. Pattern are 15 cents each. Address: MRS.
