Show Entertains Club At Dinner and Cards Mrs. W. E. Cook entertained the D. A. Club at her home on Thursday Thurs-day night. Dinner was served for twelve ladies, Callie Morrison, Loa Black, Etta Underhill, Amelia Cole, Amy Huffine, Romania Bird, Verna Walch, Alma Petersen, Stella Ash-by, Ash-by, Wanda Pace, club members, and guests Wanda Beckwith and Mrs. Frank A. Beckwith. After dinner, din-ner, bridge was played, at which high scores were held by Mrs. Pace and Mrs. Ashby, and Mrs. Bird held low score. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse F. Warren and two sons, from Salt Lake City, spent Saturday and Sunday in Delta. Del-ta. Their neice, Miss Pat Pace, from the BYU, made the trip to Delta with them. Mr. and Mrs. Millard Owens and their young son have returned to Delta to make their home, having bought a farm here. Mr. Owens was recently released from the air forces, in which he was captain, and he and Mrs. Owens visited in Logan before returning to Delta. Mrs. W. J. Oppenheimer left Delta Del-ta Thursday for California, where she will visit her sisters in Hollywood, Holly-wood, and with Delta friends now in California. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pace and Mr. and Mrs. John Day returned to Delta Sunday night from a week's trip to California. They were at Santa Anita on Saturday to see the Handicap among 80,000 spectators. spec-tators. I. R. Parker drove in from Ruth Saturday night and visited in Delta Del-ta with his family. He went to Salt Lake City to attend the funeral funer-al services there on Monday at noon for his sister, Mrs. Marie P. Keele. |
