The talks are not to exceed ex-ceed 10 minutes in length after which the judges are at liberty to question the contestants for any material related to their subject. This year's contest was won by Lawrence Stevens of Millard Eagle chapter, Milard high school, with the subject "Responsibility of A-merican A-merican Agriculture in Winning the Peace." This was an excellent speech on DDT. Third place was won by John Walker of the Delta high school with the speech "What the Veteran will do to Agriculture."
