Show Delta High School Opera, "A Waltz Dream." Merlin Christensen is to be congratulated con-gratulated on the performance his cast gave of "A Waltz Dream" by Oscar Strauss which was given at the Hinckley high school auditorium auditor-ium on Thursday, Mar. 7 to an appreciative ap-preciative audience. Grant Stucki and Maurine Robins, Rob-ins, singing with calm assurance each of their numbers, walked off with the laurels of the evening. Carol Wilden, playing the part of the princess, gave an excellent performance. per-formance. Bruce Hilton, the exiled exil-ed lover, showed persistence, and did it very well. Harlow Morten-sen, Morten-sen, the always- bewildered king, and his ever-present helper, Joe Moody, did a fine job of keeping the audience well entertained with their puns and amusing situations. Fred Adams was doing a substitution substitu-tion part, on which he had only a couple of days in which to learn his part, but did as though he had been to every practice with the rest of the cast. Clarise Bridgood and Lenora Broderick, added to the performance by doing well their respective parts. With a responsive re-sponsive chorus, a fine accompanist, accompan-ist, the cast gave an entertaining performance of the opera. Mrs. Harriet Spendlove |
