Show Initiated Into Fraternity At B Y U PROVO Mavis Dewsnup of Deseret was one of 185 students initiated into Zeta chapter of Lamba Delta Sigma, national L. D. S. church fraternity, in formal initiation in-itiation ceremonies held recently at Brigham Young University, it was announced by Prof. J. Wiley Sessions, sponsor. Miss Dewsnup, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Dewsnup, was graduated grad-uated from Hinckley high school in 1944. A sophomore at B Y U, she is enrolled in the college of applied science and is majoring in home economics. According to Prof. Sessions, this group is the largest ever to be initiated in-itiated into Zeta chapter and brings the present local membership member-ship up to more than 500 students. Dr. Warren Shepherd returned to Salt Lake City Tuesday after spending ten days in Delta visiting j with Mr. and Mrs. Quin Shepherd. Clark McCullough returned to Delta Monday from Salt Lake City where he has been with his wife, who is recovering there from an operation. Henry Conk and his mother re-tuprned re-tuprned home Monday after a few days visit in Salt Lake and Provo. Mrs. Oliver came with them and will visit with Mrs. Conk for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davenport, former Deltans, and now living in Meridian, Miss., are visiting in Delta Del-ta this week with friends. Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Cox, from Provo, visited in Delta and Hinckley Hinck-ley over the weekend. Mrs. Ethel Baker from Fillmore, and son, Lt. Paul Baker, and his wife, and Mrs. Pearl Topham, of Cedar City, are visiting in Delta at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Gol-den H. Black and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Baker. |
