OCR Text	Show NOW IS GOPHER TIME This is the time of year when gophers are most active' in enlarging enlarg-ing their burrows in preparation for the spring brood. Traps and poison are only as effective as your persistence in using them. In flat areas where soil is moderately moderate-ly heavy, they can be drowned out with water. Exhaust fumes from a car are effective; so is carbon bisulphide. The important thing is to get them now before the little lit-tle ones are born. Truly a stitch in time saves nine. Rodney G.
