Show Delta Third Ward Honors Returning Servicemen Delta third ward held a party lonoring three service men who rave returned home since the last vard party. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Black reamed re-amed Tuesday from Salt Lake ity. Their sister, Mrs. Lilian Larson, Lar-son, and daughter, of Salt Lake City returned with them for a visit iere with her father, P. T. Black. Sgt. Marr D. Simons, son of Mrs. Helen H. Simons, of Delta, Utah, has been discharged from the army ar-my on March 18 at Fort Douglas. Sgt. Simons, who served 18 months overseas as a rifleman with the M)7tth infantry, is authorized to vvear the European Theater ribbon with two battle stars, Good Conduct Con-duct medal, American Theater rib-ion, rib-ion, Combat Infantryman's badge, r'urple Heart, and the Victory rib-oon. rib-oon. He was inducted into the army Sep. 11, 1943. Fort Douglas, Utah, 14 March 1946 T5 Ray Y. Anderson has Deen discharged from the army at the Ft. Douglas separation center. T5 Anderson, son of Mrs. Essie nderson, who served 26 months Dverseas, is authorized to wear the Asiatic- Pacific Theater of Operations Opera-tions ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Victory ribbon and Meritorious service ser-vice Unit insignia. Prior to entering the army June 3, 1943, Anderson was employed by the Union Pacific railroad. |
