Show Rabbit Players Named on Class B State Ball Teams The Delta Rabbits won two games gam-es and lost two games in the basketball bas-ketball tournament, held in Salt Lake City this past week, giving them eighth place. The first night they lost to Grantsville, 56 to 46, and Grants-ville Grants-ville ended up the Class B champions. cham-pions. The second night Delta won from Blanding in a close game 32 to 31. The third night Delta wbn rather easily from Pleasant Plea-sant Grove 47 to 42. At one time in this game Delta was 20 points in the lead. The final game played on Saturday Satur-day night for the fourth place position po-sition in the tourney, ended with Delta playing Cedar City in one of the closet and hardest fought games on the tourney. The final score was 32 to 30 for Cedar, after af-ter the teams had played two extra ex-tra periods. DeRay Fullmer, stellar Delta center, cen-ter, was placed on the Tribunes "Dream Team," and Glen Fullmer was given honorable mention. The Deseret News picked DeRay on their all-state team to play the forward position. Both of these boys played exceptionally ex-ceptionally well in the tournament and we congratulate them on their honors. |
