Show Mr. and Mrs. Max Hannifin and daughter, Cherie, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hannifin of Eureka, returned Monday from a two-weeks two-weeks vacation in California. They visited Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tia Juana, San Francisco Fran-cisco and Reno While traveling. Millard County 13 as Delegates Visit ISeimiorc The 5th Annual Field Day at the Benmore Station, Tooele Co., was held Monday, June 13th. Approximately Ap-proximately 175 people were in attendance. at-tendance. Thirty-six men from Millord Co. were on hand to receive instructions instruct-ions on the best methods for seeding seed-ing and care and management of crested wheat and similar grasses. Information was very timely and worthwhile. Outstanding was demonstrations dem-onstrations on clearing land and different implements used in preparing pre-paring land for seeding. Everyone seemed to feel very satisfied with time spent at the Station. Millard County is readily adaptable adapt-able to most of the types of grass planting experimental work that has been carried on. There are thousands of acres that could better bet-ter be utilized for production of better feed for livestock grazing. Thousands of acres have already been planted in Millard County, ! yet, there is a definite need for more. Time nor space will allow for a detailed summary of events at Benmore Station. If any one desires more information on the subject a pamphlet has been prepared and can be obtained at the County A-gents A-gents Office. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore and children returned last week from a 12 day trip to Cal. Thy visited the Hoover Dam, and joined join-ed their daughter, Dorothy in Los Angeles and took side trips with her into the immediate vicinity; then to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and home. Albert said they enjoyed enjoy-ed the trip immensely. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pearson are leaving Delta Thursday morning, driving to San Francisco, where they will attend the Commencement Commence-ment exercises at Stanford where their brother, Daryl Pearson, will receive his degree from the school of law. |
