Show Program Opens June 23 For Younger Set The summer recreation program in west Millard, for all chilldren between the ages of 4 and 12 years will open June 23 from 3 ot 5 p.m. Every Thursday following for 6 weeks, the program will continue. con-tinue. The meeting place will be the Delta high school, where permission per-mission to use equipment has been obtained from Supt. Maughan. On the first Thursday meeting registration will be from 3 to 3:30 p.m. to decide on what classes are desired. Suggestions include story telling hour, volley ball, table tab-le tennis, tennis, tumbling, art work, handicraft, class in puppets, active games, archery, dancing, music and dramatics. Competent leaders will be selected to lead the various activities. All children in this age group are urged to join the program. , The program conducted last year along these lines proved so popular popu-lar and successful that it is being used as a pattern in three other counties this summer, according to word sent Merlin Christensen, head of west Millard program for summer recreation. Mr. and Mrs. Tony McKay were Delta visitors Wednesday on their honeymoon trip following their recent re-cent wedding in Weiser, Idaho. Tony lived in Delta as a boy, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan McKay, and attended school here. He and his bride plan to spend the summer traveling, and resume college work in Colorado this fall. |
