Show Summit By Donna Davenport exclusive university in Japan for the next six months. His wife and daughter will spend their time with Mrs. Garfield's family. The Farrow's youngest daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Mosdell and baby daughter came from Califronia for the holidays. Mr. Orien DaTley of Ann Arbor, Mich, and Mrs. Hazel Granger of Cedar City were holiday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Sunday the Dalleys enjoyed having their daughter and family members Mr. and Mrs. Von Davis and Mrs. Chris Nelson of Price here for a days visit. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whicker of Fillmore arrived here in time to spend . Christmas with their son, Fred Whicker and family. The Whickers returned the visit by spending the latter part of the week in Fillmore. Mr. and Mrs. J. Davenport spent Christmas day as guests of their son and his family, the Dale Davenports. Daven-ports. Mrs. Davenport's family, Mr. and Mrs. Vergean Porter and son Clint from Escalante. The Darryl Davenports were in Escalante for the New Year's weekend. The J. Davenport family including Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker and Mr. and Mrs. Dannie Condie attended the wedding reception of a niece, Holly Robinson and her new husband Laruin Ashby in Paragonah. The newly weds were married in the St. George Temple. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson of Paragonah. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green are spending some time vacationing in Mexico with the Dora's family. The holiday season was appropriately observed here with most of the townspeople attending the annual Christmas program presented by the primary organization. A program in words and music with a nativity scene beautifully protrayed. Following the program Santa Claus made his appearance bringing goodies to all. Sunday morning the junior and senior Sunday School combined to celebrate the birth of Christ where many enjoyed the program. The new presidency of the Young men's Society. Kem Lindbloom and Mrs. Dannie Condie is the new young ladies president. They replace Mr. Dannie Condie and Mrs. Carlisle Hulet. Many holiday visitors joined families here. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow welcomed a son and daughter and family members. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Corder of Las Vegas, Nev. and the Dennis Farrows of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Divers are proud grandparents of a new little girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Divers of Enoch. They enjoyed having the two older granddaughters grand-daughters here for a few days stay. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet entertained all available family members at their home. A delicious dinner was served restaurant style with professional waiters, grandsons Chad and Oscar Hulet. The Carlisle Hulets and Carl Evans family from here were joined by the Kent Hulets of Cedar City and the Dannie Hulets of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Stapley were happy to have their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Jeno Cangelosi from Las Vegas, Nev and student son Steve from Provo to join the family for the holdiays. Visiting with Mrs. Helen Richards were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Christensen of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Fran Pratt of California. Both Mrs. Christensen and Mr. Pratt were former residents of Summit. A daughter and familv The Ricke Edwards of Greenville Green-ville visited with Mrs. Richard and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith returned home to Ogden New Year's Day after spending the New Year's weekend here with their folks the Harold Smiths and also in Paragonah with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farrow enjoyed having all their family together during the Christmas Holiday beginning begin-ning with a Christmas dinner at the home of Bob Garfield in Enoch. The Hale Miller family of nine were here f rom Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garfield and daughter Mio arrived from Phoenix, Ariz. After spending a few days here, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Farrow drove them to Las Vegas, Nev. where they boarded a plane for Japan. Mr. Garfield was one of fifteen students chosen from the University in Phoenix to further his education in an |
