Also she said a bid for next years convention con-vention was made by Salt Lake City and Midvale. Florine Adams, Chairman of our project committee, discussed the awarding of our scholarship to SUSC. This has been one of our club projects for a number of years, to give a scholarship to a Cedar City School student to attend SUSC. The Niki Club at Cedar High School is sponsored by our BPW Club. Two Niki Club members were chosen to receive it. A complete scholarship is $300 but the committee decided to divide it between two students, because each one had received some help from the High School and this additional ad-ditional money made it possible for them to attend SUSC. Those receiving it were Janice Petty and Kathy Leany. Niki Club sponsored a public meeting on International Womens' Year at Cedar High which was attended by many BPW members. Two members, Pauline Nelson and Naomi Harrison recieved the Triple Heart Award from the State Federation for bringing in three new members. The club received eleven awards, which was the third highest in the State. |
