Show Dennis Shawn Dalley, 9, dies of Cancer Dennis Shawn Dalley 9, died August 20, 1978 at his home in "Cedar" City" of Cancer. Born Jan. 30, 1969 in Cedar City to Dennis J. and Janet Gurr Dalley. Shaun had completed the third grade at the North Elementary, was a Cub Scout and a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by his parents, brother Coby Frank Dalley, sisters Kimberly and Tara Lynn Dalley all of Cedar City. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Dalley of Summit, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gurr of Parowan. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 22, 1978 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar 15th LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Frank Dalley with Katherine Reese playing the prelude, postlude music and Bishop Tyree Bulloch conducting. The invocation was offered by Gerald Ward with Heber Gurr giving a tribute followed by a vocal solo "Suffer the Little Chidlren" by Ann Frehner acc. by Katherine Reese. Other musical selections consisted of a song "I Am A Child of God" by his primary class acc. by Janet Robins and a duet by Vyonne Robinson and Lyundell Darrington singing "To a Child" acc. by Lorna Gower. The speaker was Don Heap with remarks by Bishop Tyree Bulloch. The benediction was offered by Monty Stratton and Arnold Gurr dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. |
