Show Improvement projects delay at PHS PAKOVVAN - Students at Parowan High School may find some adjustment ad-justment to make for the first month of school, but, the inconvenience now will be well rewarded, according to Vernile Matheson, principal. An improvement project in the physical education locker room facilities has not been completed for the opening of school this week. "As a result some adjustment must be made not only in the physical education area but in the vocational area where workman are having to work to complete the improvement," Matheson said. "We are looking for an October 1 completion on the project," Matheson said, "and the improvement will be worth the wait." The principal indicated that the project has been delayed by delivery of lockers, shower stalls and the installation in-stallation of tile. The major improvement will be in the ventilation system, in both the mens and womens locker areas. In addition provisions have been made for separate shower facilities for visiting officials and coaches. "We will no longer have to be ,! embarassed by the lack of accomodation ac-comodation for visiting athletic teams," Matheson commented. Principal Matheson asked that students, faculty and members of the community to be patient through the final stages of the construction. "We will work around the construction and just be thankful when we can have the much needed additions and improvements," im-provements," he said. |
