Show Public Meeting on Warner Valley Project The Bureau of Land Management has announced a series of public meetings in conjunction with the Environmental En-vironmental Impact Statement In-ing prepared on the proposed Allen-Warner Allen-Warner Valley Energy System. In this case the statement must he 30(1 pages or less. "With this limitation, the number of concerns and possible alternatives that the EIS can cover must be held to a minimum." said Jensen A series of "scoping" meetings are scheduled to allow anyone who is interested in-terested an opportunity to tell the BLM which topics and alternatives they feel should be analyzed. The meeting for this area will be held at 7 p.m. on July 27 in the auditorium of the County Courthouse, St. George. . "Those wishing to par ticipate should understand that these meetings are to identify concerns and alternatives," said Dave Everett. EIS Team Leader. "The meetings are not to discuss whether the project, or a particular portion of it, should be approved or not. Nor is this the time to debate the values of differen t views on the project. Any oral statements concerning issues the EIS should address ad-dress will be limited to three minutes each and statements concerning possible alternatives must be held to five minutes," said Everett. Individuals who would like to express their opinion but can not attend one of the meetings may participate by mail. A form has been prepared for those who attend the meeting to list what they feel the EIS should cover. This same form will be mailed to those who cannot be at a scoping meeting.
