Paragonah By Hilma Lamoreaux Cedar City to Richfield on Sat. to take their father, Mr. Calvin Robinson for a stay with the Clinton Robinson family. Mr. Leslie Hulet traveled to New York recently for a weekend week-end of racing and is now in Chicago to jockey for a short time. Mr. Ned Miller of Panguitch was in town on Fri. for a visit with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Barton. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson were to St. George on Wed. with their daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Low to see their son Jimmy Anderson of Kanab who was hospitalized at Dixie Medical Center. They were there again on Fri. to see Jimmy and report that he was to go home the following day. On Sat. they were to Beaver to visit family members and to see Mr. J. Samuel Lister and Mrs. Marjorie Torres of Parowan were married in a double ring ceremony on Fri. March 11th. Bishop Kenneth G. Topham officiated at the ceremony in the Frank Lister home in Paragonah. Joe Fischer stood as best man and Marjorie's mother, Mrs. Jenney Spigarelli, a sister, Larue and a niece Becky Spigarelli all of Price were here For the wedding. An open house for family members and close friends followed the ceremony. to sing several selections during the Sunday School "Worship Through Music" period. "Sounds of Zion" is a missionary group of over 40 young ladies and men from the Institute of Religion at Utah State University in Logan and Holly Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson is a member of the group. The young people are on their spring tour of southern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson and daughter, Shelley traveled' The new Mrs. Lister has been employed at Colemans in Cedar City and has attended school at SUSC. Sam is employed at Colemans. Following a short honeymoon trip the young people are making their home in Paragonah. Mrs. Jenny Spigarelli took the young Torres children home to Price with her for a weeks visit. Paragonah Ward is scheduled for a special treat on Sun. when the "Sounds of Zion" singing group will visit the morning church meetings, priesthood meeting, second session relief society and Sunday School. The group has accepted an invitation to Magna on Thurs. for a visit with the Dee Conder family and to attend the wedding festivities for Gordon Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Robinson and his bride Miss Cindy Robison. They visited with the Conders and with Verdells family until Sat. and brought Holly home with them to stay a few days between quarters of school at Logan. Mrs. Nina Robb was released from the LDS Hospital on Fri. following her pacemaker surgery and came home the same day. Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux accompanied ac-companied her sister, Mrs. Ruby Bauer and daughter Ralinda of Jim's sister Mrs. Zona Myers, who is ill. ' Mr. and Mrs. Lamarr Rosenberg and boys of Cedar City were Sun. visitors here with Shirlene's parents Mr. and Mrs. Renfor Talbot. Mrs. Roene Lund went to Cedar City on Sat. to stay overnight with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lola Smith who was ill and also concerned for her husband who is in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lagrand Robb were to Beaver on Sun. to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jack White. They were there again on Wed. and stayed in Beaver overnight. |
