Show Summit Donna Davenport Recent changes in our Ward officers has given us a new Sunday School presidency because Mr. Milo Lyon and family moved to Richfield and taking his place as president is Mr. David Dalley, with Mr. Hyrum Humpherys to serve as one of his assistants. He was released from the APA presidency to take his new position. Mr. Danny Hulet is now the new APA president. Mr. Fred Whicker was just sustained to the office of Ward Clerk and will also continue as Executive Secretary. Mr. Orien Dalley of Ann Arbor, Mich, was here during the week for an overnight visit with his brother and sister in law Mr. and Mrs. Otto P. Dalley, then returned to his home via plane the following day. He has spent several weeks with his brother in law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Granger in Cedar City and also joined them for a vacation trip to Phoenix, Ariz, where they enjoyed some horse races and were guests of former Cedar City residents Mr. and Mrs. Oren Taylor. The Ward that the Grangers were members of while living in Phoenix also honored them at a party. Mrs. Kent Humpherys returned home from the Valley View Medical on Sunday of last week with her new baby boy. The Humpherys now have two boys and three girls. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rowley are proud parents of a 9 lb. 4 oz boy born Mar. 11. They now have two boys and four girls. Mr. and Mrs. James Prince traveled to Circleville the first weekend in the month where they were guests of their daughter and family the Merrill West: woods and where Mr. Prince helped Christion the new little granddaughter. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Farrow traveled to St. George last Tuesday where Mr. Farrow kept a doctor's appointment. He recently underwent surgery on his hip. Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton were in Salt Lake City recently and were guests of Mrs. Allton's brother and family the Dick Farrows. Bishop and Mrs. J. Frank Dalley are home after spending a week in Salt Lake City. They were accompanied by their young grandson Shawn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dalley of Cedar City. They visited with former Summit residents Mr. and Mrs. Val Ellis and family in Heber also. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Orton and two children of Salt Lake City were recent weekend guests of Diane's family the Carlisle Hulets. Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Davenport Daven-port and children spent Sat. in Escalante with their folks, the Vergean Porters. Mrs. Davenports Daven-ports brother Kevin Porter returned home after spending some time here with them. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Burns of Nevada spent a day here with Ken's aunts Mrs. Helen Matheson and Mrs. Virgie Mickelson. |
