Show Funeral services held Tuesday for Harry F. Holmes Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday. July 14 in the Cedar Second Ward for Harry Franklin Holmes, Sr. 76, who died July 11 of natural causes in a Salt Lake Hospital. Speaker at the services was Giles Bolander with a tribute by Neil Carter a'hd remarks by Bp. Eldro Rigby, who conducted. conduct-ed. Musical selections included includ-ed an organ solo, "Oh My Father," by E. Lynn Reed; a vocal solo, "Silver Haired Dad- dy of Mine," by Ralph Hafen 1 and a vocal duet, "Not Now But in the Coming Years," by Mr. and Mrs. Oman Wood. Prelude and postlude music was by Janet Knell. Prayer at the mortuary was by Richard Reed. Invocation was given by Gail Duncan, benediction by Eldon Yergen-sen Yergen-sen and the dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery ceme-tery was by Carl Parry, i Flag ceremonies for the Veteran of World War I were performed by members of the Cedar City Post of the American Ameri-can Legion. Holmes was born Sept. 30, 1S93, at Whirwell, Tenn., to John E. and Jane Turner Holmes. He married Bertha A. Gray, June 15, 1922 in Paro-wan Paro-wan and the marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. She died Sept. 16, 1966. Holmes was retired from the mining industry; was active in the LDS Church and was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by sons and daughters: Robert G., Harry F., both Cedar City; William T. Mrs. McKay (Mildred) David Wendell T., all Salt Lake City-Mrs. City-Mrs. Carl (Janet) Parry, Pleasant Plea-sant Grove; Mrs. Lynn (Charlotte) (Char-lotte) Reed, Blackfoot, Idaho.
