Show Winners named in CJH Math Fair Evan Matheson and Keenan Hart walked off with the grand championship honors in the math division of the recently re-cently held Math and Science Fair at Cedar Junior High School. The two young ninth graders grad-ers won the ihonors with a demonstration de-monstration on ' "Probability." Matheson and Hart set utp a slide for marbles then recorded re-corded the distance traveled in this division went to Aaron by 300 marbles over a rug finished fin-ished then computed the prdb-ability prdb-ability of the marbles stopp-.ng stopp-.ng at a given distance. Matheson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylen Matheson of Cedar City. Hart is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keenan Hart of New Castle. Largest section of the Math division was the poster competition com-petition and first place honors Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Miller of Cedar City. He is a seventh grader. Other winners were announced announ-ced as follows: Demo nstration constructions: construc-tions: Terry Porter and Steve Thompson with a normal distribution dis-tribution iboard. Talble games and demonstrations: demon-strations: First, 'Bonnie Soren-sen Soren-sen and Karen Bradshaw, Bubble Bub-ble demonstration; second, Craig Brooksby, Tower of Hanoi. Han-oi. Demonstrations with pre made materials: First, Charles Char-les Judd, Computer; Jeff Baird, Heads up game; Pam Wilson, Ocilliscope. Table Constructions: first, Jetff Maxwell, Polyhedra; Todd Kirkham and Rodney Perry, Polyhedra; and Baldwin, Harvey Har-vey and Bentley, Polyhedra. String Construction and design: de-sign: first, Brad Bauer, followed follow-ed toy Carol Thorley and Suzanne Suz-anne Crawford. Other winners in the poster competition included the following: fol-lowing: Mike Shaack and Duane Osier Bruce Werner TOPS IN MATH FAIR.
