Show Ed. Conference fit CSU Feb. 16 and 17 Discussion leaders for small group sessions to be conducted conduct-ed as part of the 15th annual Education Conference at College Col-lege of Southern Utah February Feb-ruary 16 and 17 have been announced by Dr. Gwyn Clark "hairman. Guest consultant is Dr. Deborah P. Wolfe, profe or of education, Queens College Col-lege of the Ciiy Un'versity o ' New York and chairman of the Teacher Education Committee Com-mittee of the Commission of "Science Education for the A j "nerican Association for the j dvancement of Science. Other participants will include in-clude Gec-go LeBaron, Rich ard Tebbs, Robert Jones, an'' Dr. Wesley Larson, represent- mg the CSU School of Science tulan Woodbury, faculty member in the CSU School o' Education, and Leonard Witt l of the CSU behavioral sciencr division. Subjects for discussion wi" be, Elementary School Seienrv Project, Elementary Selene Study, Minnesota Schop" Mathematics and Science Teaching Proiect, Science Cur-riculum Cur-riculum Improvement Study, Michigan Sc'ence Project for Junior High Schools, Introductory Introduc-tory Physical Science, Antrim- i nological Curriculum Study Proiect, Sociological Resources Resourc-es for Secondary Schools, and Physics Program for High Schools. Registration for the conference confer-ence will begin Friday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. Dr. Wolfe will address the first general ses-sion ses-sion at 7:15 p.m. in the CSU Music Center. Her keynote speech will be "New Trend" in Sc'ence Education in Public Pub-lic Schools." General sessions are also scheduled in the Music Center Cent-er Saturday, Feb. 17 at 8:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Small group sessions will follow each of the general sessions, according to Dr. Clark. |
