The orderly book proved to make the Revolutionary War more important and interesting interest-ing to the students, Mr. Bowler Bow-ler reported. History of the Revolutionary War became a real thing for students of Qucnton Bowler's fifth grade at the North Elementary Ele-mentary School. An Authentic document of the War, ' an orderly book which was hand written with a quill pen, created wide interest for students. The class had the book available during a study of the Revolutionary War. Miss Pat Washburn, a reading observer ob-server from College of Southern South-ern Utah, brought the historically histori-cally significant document to class. The volume belongs to a roommate of Miss Washburn, Wash-burn, Diane Swanson of New York, also a CSU student, who has developed an interest in and acquired many items of historial interest. The orderly book was writ-tend writ-tend by Sgt. John Cowen in the year 177G. Entries in the book run from May of that year through November 17V . and contain information pertaining per-taining to Col. Lippett's Regiment Reg-iment of the Continental Army. Ar-my. In addition to the interest of the class in the material I contained in the important orderly or-derly book, the handwriting and letter characters also developed de-veloped wide interest for the students.
