Show 1st Ward Explorers Return from So. California Trek Explorer Post 341, of the Parowan First Ward, returned home June 27 after a five day trip to the Los Angeles area. While in California, the group visited Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Marineland, and Helms Olympic Bakery, as well as spending considerable time at the beaches. A special feature of the high adventure was an invitation to speak and sing in the Santa San-ta Fe Springs Ward, Norwalk, Calif. Each young man in the group participated in the speaking or singing. One of the Post specialties is furnishing programs for church or civic groups and clubs. Funds for this activity as well as for other service projects in Parowan, have been raised by collecting scrap iron, making and selling metal me-tal clothesline posts and spon- soring a youth dance each week through the summer. The group making the trip was composed of Jim Harris, post president; Robert Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, vice president; Kevin Robinson, secretary; Mike Hu-let, Hu-let, cabinet representative; Chauncey Adams, Brad Orton, Keith Stubbs,, Dan Harris, Glen Robinson, Craig Stubbs, Phillip Miller, Mark Evans, and Lewis Dalton and Richard Harris, advisors. |
