Show Long Beach Buses Scheduled in Cedar Saturday A caravan of 15 new, 45-passenger 45-passenger buses will make an overnight stop in Cedar City Saturday, July 13, en route from Pontiac, Mich., to Long Beach. The buses were purchased pur-chased in Pontiac at a cost of $28,000 each for the city-owned city-owned Long Beach Transportation Transpor-tation Co. and are being driven driv-en west by LBTC drivers on a six-day "busmen's holiday." The buses will be portable billboards for California's fourth largest city. The drivers are distributing souvenir boxes of matches and Sea Festival brochures at each stop. From Cedar City, they go to Las Vegas where the drivers driv-ers will be feted on the eve of their run for home. Presumably Pre-sumably they will fill the buses' gas tanks before entering en-tering the casinos. |
