Show Bensons Gather In Parowan for Three Day Reunion The John and Mary Alice Benson family members gathered gath-ered in Parowan and the surrounding sur-rounding area for the second reunion last week with a large group in attendance for the event. Beginning on July 4, the reunion carried on into Saturday, July 6. On the evening of July 4 the group met at the mountain moun-tain home of Mr. and Mrs. EI-wood EI-wood Page near Cedar Breaks for a weiner roast and an evening of fun. On Friday the group separated for fish-, fish-, ing, boating and sightseeing , in local mountains. Saturday morning a meet- ing was held in the First-Second Ward church at which time a musical program was enjoyed and new officers were elected for the coming year.. These new officers are: Simon Benson, president; Helen B. Toland, presidentelect; president-elect; LaBerta B. Whitlock, secretary and treasurer; Barbara Bar-bara B. Burt, genealogy representative; rep-resentative; Eloise D. Page, program chairman. Those from out-of-town in attendance, listing the heads of families were: George C. Toland, To-land, Bountiful; Lloyd Whitlock, Whit-lock, Clair Empey, Ralph W. Bayles, Belle Empey and Wayne West, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. John C. Benson and two great-granddaughters, of Provo; Jim Haycock, Maryland; Mary-land; Elwood Page, Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev.; Earl Knab, San Francisco; Donald Haycock, Lander, Wyo.; Benson Hay-rock, Hay-rock, Whittier, Calif.; Ellis Hunt, St. George; Howard Benson, Ben-son, Phoenix, Ariz.; Clark Benson, Ben-son, Ephraim, Utah; Sally B. and Don McCallister, Cedar City; and Simon Benson, Provo. |
