Show CSU to Hold Bus 1 Driver Workshop 'mm ' CARLOS ASAY School bus drivers will have an opportunity to receive important im-portant information regarding regard-ing their vocation at a special workshop to begin at College of Southern Utah Wednesday, July 17. The four-day workshop work-shop will begin daily at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m., according ac-cording to Dr. McCray Cloward, Clow-ard, dean of the CSU School of Continuing Education and Public Service. j The course will offer a discussion dis-cussion of such topics as legal aspects of school transportation, transporta-tion, qualifications of a school bus driver, first aid methods and procedures, mechanical trouble-shooting, safe driving practices, procedures in pupil management, and public re- lations.. Dr. Carlos Asay, assistant superintendent of Jordan School District will be director direc-tor and instructor of the workshop. work-shop. He will be assisted by CSU staff members. Dr. Asay received Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Education Edu-cation degrees from University Univer-sity of Utah. He took a Master Mas-ter of Arts degree at Long Beach State College. He taught at Olympus High School in Salt Lake City and Alexander Hamilton Junior High School in Long Beach, Calif. He has served as secondary supervisor and director of secondary education ed-ucation in Granit2 School Dis-trict Dis-trict Dr. Cloward said fee for the course will be $15.
