Show i.'fi ' Parowan High Class Of 1938 Meets For First Reunion Members of the Parowan High School class of 1938 held their first reunion since their graduation 30 years ago on Saturday, July 6. Those who worked to bring the class together to-gether and make the affair a success were Hilda Grimshaw of Enoch', chairman and working work-ing with her were Margaret Knight, Theo Dean Loosley, Laura Adams, Don Cartwright, Bill and Kay Rose and Ivy McCoy. Mc-Coy. The event was held at the Elementary School lunch room with Mrs, Orilla Lister catering cater-ing the dinner. She was assist-eded assist-eded by Ruth Ann and Kris-tine Kris-tine Knight and Dorothy Grimshaw, who served a ham dinner, with trimmings, to 50 people. Don Cartwright was M.C. for the occasion. At the begin-, ning of the meal a moment of silence was held for three departed de-parted class members, Maude M. Dalley, Elliot Hulet and Garth Stubbs.. The school song was sung after which each graduate present gave a brief account of their activities since leaving school. Four former teachers and the principal of the school in 1938 were present. They were Glen E. Snow, principal; Ivan Decker, A. C. Hatch, John H. Pendleton and Buryle Hibbert Mortensen. After hearing from each of these people, Mrs. Mortensen called the class roll and 22 members responded. respond-ed. They were: Don Cartwright, Margaret Knight, Laura S. Adams, Theo Dean H. Loosley, Dee Evans, Lonald Robinson, Fred Top-ham, Top-ham, Parowan; Norma Davenport Daven-port Topham, Paragonah; Hilda Hil-da H. Grimshaw, Enoch; Irene L. Sevy, Alice Baldwin Batt, Thora Lowe Barton, Helen Hyatt Hy-att Crawford, Cedar City; May Trimmer Rogers, Hazel Daily Thompson, Ilene Lowe Blake, St. George; Doyle Topham, Delta.. Also Bill and Kay Benson Rose, West Coyina, Calif.; Robert Rob-ert Lamoreaux, ElCentra, Calif. Cal-if. ; Ivy Mortensen McCoy, San Pedro, Calif.;. Musical numbers were furnished fur-nished by Ruth Anne, Christine and Howard Knight. Prizes were awarded to the baldest man, grayest hair, most children, chil-dren, etc. The reunion ended with everyone declaring what a wonderful evening it had been and asking for a repeat bofore another 30 years passes. pass-es.
