Show Parowan at Beaver, Delta at Milford, This Week's Basketball Fare in Division I is second high behind the Tigers Ti-gers Art Stewart, the leading high school scorer in the entire en-tire state. We haven't seen Bailey yet this season, but we seen enough of Stewart last Friday night, and he is a big powerful boy and works real, smooth under either basket. The winner in this game' will have the inside track to the division championship and with Milford at home they should be the favorite, but Coach Mitch Myers and I his Rabbits were on hand to see the Parowan Milford contest con-test last Friday and Myers will be ready for the game. .. Mijlard with one win and one loss gets this week's bye. REGION EIGHT , Millard Division Milford 2 1 1.000 Delta 1 0 1.000 Millard 1 1 .500 Beaver 0 1 .000 Parowan 0 2 .000 THIS WEEK Delta at Milford Parowan at Beaver Millard bye The Parowan High School basketball team comes up to this week's round of games with its back to the wall after af-ter losing two league contests, one on the home floor. And Coach Elliot Jordan's crew has j a doubly tough chore to face in this round, as it goes up against the Beaver High team on the tough Beaver floor. Although the Beaver aggregation aggre-gation is rated as the weakest team in the division, when it is at home it is always tough, and the Parowan Rams have stubbed their toe there many times in the past. The Beavers are also on the losers side with the Rams, losing last week at Fillmore to the Millard Mil-lard Eagles by a 58 to 44 score. The winner in this game will climb up a notch in the division divi-sion standing, the loser will drop into the cellar. The Rams have the better record, the Beavers have the home floor. You call it. In the other game on tap this week the league leaders meet head on. Delta, with last week's bye, comes to Milford to take on the double winner I Milford Tigers. The game pits two of the leading scorers in the state against each other. 1 j Bailey of the Delta Rabbits! |
