Show Wedding Reception Honors Robert H. Williams' A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Robert II. Williams of Vernal, was held Saturday evening in the Pa rowan Third Ward Cultural hall. Mrs. Williams Wil-liams is the former Miss Norma Nor-ma Hodeen Orton, daughter of Mrs. Getta M. Orton of this city. They were married in the Manti LDS Temple on. Dec. 16. Temple President Allred officiated offi-ciated in the double-ring ceremony. cere-mony. For the reception the bride was attired in her white satin floor-lenth wedding gown, featuring fea-turing a shoulder-length veil of bridal illusion and carried a bouquet of white mums surrounding sur-rounding a white orchid. Her lone attendant was her sister, Mrs. Reid (Lewan) Gower. Standing with the bride's mother was her son-in-law, Reid Gower and Mrs. Hilda Faulkner, mother of the bridegroom. bride-groom. Standing as best man for Mr. Williams was Carl Collett and ushers were Stev- en and Stewart Gower. Host and hostesses for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Chamberlain and Mrs. Elaine Adams. Kitchen hostesses were Mrs. lone Orton, Mrs. Hills Orton Or-ton and Mrs. Maggie Page. At the guest register was Mrs. Cal (Myrna Green) Erickson. At the gift table were Miss Re-nee Re-nee Anderson, Bernice Grote-gect, Grote-gect, Robyn and Cindy Wol- j liams. Serving were former, schoolmates of the bride, Mrs. Rodney Bentley, Mrs. Veryl Millett, Mrs. James Miller,1 Mrs. Ronald Mortensen and Mrs. David M. Orton. Gift, bearers were Cornel Gower,' Jan Williams and Cindy GoW-1 er. j Hills Orton was master of ceremonies for the following numbers given during the eve-1 ning: a vocal solo, ' 'Walk Hand in Hand With Me" by Howard D. Knight with his daughter Kristine at the pia-1 no; two vocal duets, "Always" i and "True Love" by Verl Tay-' lor and Frankie Lou Bentley accompanied by Mrs. Jackie Robinson and a musical reading read-ing by Mrs. Wm. S. Boardman, with Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux at the piano. Furnishing background back-ground music for the reception recep-tion was Gaylene Miller. |
