Show ! Hall of Enchanted Trees Will Remain a Tradition One of Cedar Cily's cherished cherish-ed Christmas traditions over the years became a reality again this year. Through the efforts of the people of Cedar City in cooperation with the CSU Drama Club, the Hall of Enchanted Trees was presented present-ed in all its splendor during the Christmas season. The project was in danger of being discontinued last fall due to lack of funds when the situation became known by the Cedar City Coordinating Council. The Council elected to bring this matter to the attention at-tention of the Community in an effort to determine if this was a tradition that the people would like to continue. Donna Cooley, member of the Central Committee of the Coordinating Council, was chosen to act as chairman of the project. Groups and individuals indivi-duals were invited to express their opinions and contribute funds in any amount if they were in favor of maintaining the tradition. Mrs. Cooley reports that many individuals and groups responded with generous contributions con-tributions and enough money was raised to finance the project pro-ject for another year. A check wa presented by Mrs. Cooley I to Fred Adams, faculty ad-I ad-I visor of the Drama Club. The Coordinating Council, through Mrs. Cooley, wishes to express its appreciation to each group and each individual individ-ual who contributed to the project. A special thanks should also go to Mr. Adams and the Drama Club for their many hours of hard work in planning and decorating the trees and for guiding the large crowds through the display. |
