Show Wedding Bells Ring for George Bettridges By Hilma Lamoreaux George Dale Bettridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bettridge of Taragonah, married Miss Ger-aldine Ger-aldine Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Williams of Beaver on Friday, August 5 at the First Third Ward in Beaver. Bishop James Williams officiated offic-iated at the ceremony in the presence of members of both families. A reception in the recreation hall followed the wedding. The bride was lovely in her wedding outfit of traditional white gown and veil. The dress had long sleeves, fitted bodice, full skirt and train and was trimmed with lace and ruffles. Her bridal bouquet was of pink roses. She was attended by her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. JoAnn Blackner, as matron of honor, Miss Connie Williams, maid of honor and the following bridesmaids: Mrs. Mary Lou Moody, Mrs. Joyce Al-sup, Al-sup, Mrs. Patsy Webb, and Miss Barbara Leonhardt. Attendants wore alike dresses of white lace over green and carried car-ried matching nosegays. LaMont Bettridge was best man for his brother and ushers were Charles Dalton, Dwight Stones, Wayne Bettridge, Bob Bettridge and Leslie Williams. Miss Linda Bettridge was at the guest register. Ray Kessler was master of ceremonies for the program, refreshments re-freshments were served and dancing dan-cing was enjoyed during the evening. eve-ning. Mr. Bettridge is a graduate of the Parowan High School and he has had two years army service most of which was in Fort Eus-tice, Eus-tice, Va. He spent two weeks in July at Fort Lewis, Wash, for reserve re-serve army training and is presently pre-sently employed in Parowan Valley. Val-ley. The young couple are at home in Beaver. |
