" i :- - m-fM An interesting report on the Seven Cities of Gold and Car-dena's Car-dena's discovery of Grand Canyon, Can-yon, was given in the morning section of Mrs. Jean Hendrick-son's Hendrick-son's seventh grade. The girls wrote their own play concerning the legend, practiced it in the hall and on Friday, dressed in original costumes and presented it to the class. Brenda Barton represented a Spanish friar, Jan Orton represented repre-sented Coronado, Debbie Steven- Ison a Zuni Indian chief at Cibola, Ci-bola, and Jill Adams, Stephen Estaben, the negro 'slave who though he was a special medicine medi-cine man. Special visitors who have helped help-ed show the natural wonders of Utah to the afternoon section of seventh grades have been Mr. S. M. Clark, regional director of the State Fish and Game Department, Depart-ment, and Principal Bruce Decker. Deck-er. Mr. Clark lectured on, and showed pictures of Goblin Valley, Val-ley, the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers, and a trip through parts of Lake Powell. Mr. Decker showed slides of another an-other trip through different parts Of Lake Powell as well as Sequoia Sequo-ia National Park. i. |
