Show Arson Suspected in Forest Service Building Fire in Escalante District Christmas will be a less joyful occasion for a little boy and girl because a Forest Service building was destroyed over the week end by an apparent act of arson, according ac-cording to Dixie National Forest Supervisor Jack B. Shumate. The children's gifts were stored stor-ed in the garage and warehouse of the Escalante District Ranger's Ran-ger's dwelling at Escalante, occupied oc-cupied by Ervin C. Burrows and his family. The fire occurred at abount 8 p. m. last Saturday j in addition to the structure and; gifts, losses included Ranger' Burrough's personal pickup, gov-, Jernment tools and supplies, and personal belongings, including the children's outdoor toys such as bicycles and wagons. Total loss was estimated in excess of $10,000.
