Show Iva Jones Dies At Daughter's Home; Funeral Here Friday Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p. m. in the Cedar Eighth Ward Chapel for Iva Rich Jones, who died at the home of her daughter in Payson Tuesday, Dec. 20 after a long illness. She was born in Elba, Idaho, April 19, 1895, a daughter of Samuel James and Sarah Inez Parish Rich. She married Glen M. Osborne in Salt Lake LDS Temple November 29, 1916. He later died. She married Kumon L. Jones, April 18, 1944. He also preceded her in death. Mrs. Jones was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church. She had taught the literary lesson in Relief Re-lief Society. She also served as the secretary secre-tary of the Central Committee of the Coordinating Council in Cedar Ce-dar City for 17 years and was secretary of the Cedar City Red Cross Chapter for 11 years. Survivors include a son, Robert Ro-bert Osborne, San Diego, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Harold C. (Elaine) Patten, Payson. Friends may call at the Spils-bury Spils-bury Mortuary in Cedar City Thursday, Dec. 22 from 7 to 9 p. m. and Friday from 11 a. m. until un-til time of services. Burial will be in the Cedar City Ci-ty cemetery. |
