College of Southern Utah will enter the Top of the Nation Basketball Bas-ketball Tournament hosted by Adams State College of Alamosa, Colo., during the Christmas vacation. vaca-tion. The eight team tournament will get underway Tuesday, Dec. 27 and continue through December Decem-ber 2:). Opening round opponent for t!v T-Birds will be Southwest Oklahoma of Weatherford, Okla. The Bulldogs of Oklahoma have a school enrollment of '1000 and compiled a record of 15 wins and 8 losses during the 1905 season. Other teams in the tournament include host Adams State Col-lege, Col-lege, Illinois State of Normal, 111.; Minot State, Minot, North Dakota; Dako-ta; Northwestern State College1, Alva, Okla.; Grand Canyon College, Col-lege, Phoenix, Ariz.; Drury College Col-lege of Springfield, Mo. College of Southern Utah T-Birds' T-Birds' games will be broadcast over radio station KSUB and the opening round game is slated for 3 p. m. Tuesday, Dec. 27. In previous years the College of Southern Utah has met only Grand Canyon College on the basketball courts, although they have participated against Adams State College in football in the past. Coach Boyd Adams and his team are expecting some of their toughest competition of the season sea-son at the Top of the Nation Tournament. In two other tournaments, however, how-ever, the T-Birds have produced good results, winning consolation honors in a Pasadena Tournament Tourna-ment early this month, then finished fin-ished second in a four team1 |
