Amasa Stones traveled to Cedar City Saturday ev.-ning to attend the reception for newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. David Easton. Air. and Mrs. Jerry Mortensen were here from St. George to spend the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lam-oroaux Lam-oroaux of Paragonah and Mr. and Mrs. Wimmer Mortensen of Parowan. Miriam Anderson traveled j to Logan early Friday to attend ROTC Commissioning exercises at Utah State University vvh'-'t'e her son, Lainarr, received his commision as a Second Lieutenant Lieuten-ant in the Air Force. Mrs. Anderson attended tin1 impressive eercis"s held at the Faculty Lounge in the Union Paulding and was priviledgod to pin the LI. bars on her son. j I.amarr has attended school at College of Southern Utah and the Utah Stale University and has I completed all requirements for graduation. He has been assigned assign-ed to Norton Air Force Paso in California and will report for duty there January 31, 1907. Airs. Anderson and son returned return-ed to Paragonah Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lund of Salt Lake City were in town on Monday visiting with many friends and relatives. Mr, and Mrs. Chester Robinson and Air. and Airs. Ellis Robinson traveled to Orem to spend the week end with the Elmo C. Robinson Rob-inson family, returning home Sunday evening. John C. Barton was released from the Valley View Medical Center Tuesday of last week after a ten day stay for treatment of a heart ailm-ent. He has been spending his nights at the Lavar Taylor residence in Parowan but i able to come home during the day. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Nelson were here from Palmdale, Calif recently to spend a week end with Carolyn's people, the Scott Festive holiday decorations, favors and gifts added to the occasion as did special organ music a short program and dancing. dan-cing. Legrande Robb traveled north Friday night to spend the week end with family members in American Fork, Orem and Salt Lake City. His daughter, Mrs. Deanna Johnson and her family are leaving leav-ing soon to make their home in Sacramento, Calif. Mrs. Gwen Jones and Mrs. Nellie Nel-lie Englestead traveled to Mes-quite, Mes-quite, Nev. Saturday to meet relatives rel-atives from Henderson, Nev. and spend the evening with them before be-fore all returned to their homes. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Bentley of Parowan. Par-owan. Air. and Mrs. Blaine J. Jones are grandparents again. Their son, J. B. and his wife Karin of Salt Lake City welcomed a baby boy Friday, Dec. 16. Robbie Robb arrived home Friday Fri-day for a two weeks leave from his army duties at Fort Bliss, Texas. He joined his wife to visit vis-it here with the Bert Robbs and with Karens people, the Don Rollins family of Parowan. Neil Clove of Panguitch was in town Tuesday of last week for a visit with his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson. Miss Evelyn Mannelito and Miss Mary Etsitty traveled to Cedar Ce-dar City Saturday evening to attend at-tend the annual Christmas Party for Indian children. Neil O'Brien was here from Cedar Ce-dar City for the week end. He was a guest at the Wilson Lund home. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Robinson and baby of Richfield were sun-day sun-day visitors at the Calvin Robinson Robin-son home. They were accompanied accompan-ied by Sandra's grandfather. Mrs. Nellie Dalton was in the Valley Viow Medical Center in Cedar City for several days for medical treatment. She returned home Friday but is still in poor health. Antone Robinson and some of his friends from Salt Lake City were here for the week end. They visited with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Robinson Robin-son and with the Myron Abbott family and other relatives. |
